Sales Manager – Doors & Washrooms

The Sales Manager plays an important role in growing our Doors & Washroom department by building strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing customers. The purpose is to lead and develop the sales function within the doors & washrooms department. Generating new business, managing sales pipeline and converting opportunities into profitable projects building strong long-term customer relationships as a result.

What will I be doing?

Based in Springfield Road and reporting to the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead generation & business development: Identify and develop new markets, sectors, and customer opportunities through proactive sales activity, networking, market research & marketing.
  • Pipeline Management & Conversion: Manage the sales pipeline from initial enquiry to complete project handover maximising conversion & profitability.
  • Customer Engagement: Build strong customer collaborations understanding their requirements, resolving issues and gathering feedback and actioning. Identify repeat & new business opportunities.
  • CRM Management: Be the advocate of the success of CRM. Maintain accurate records and use data for pipeline management, forecasting and performance improvement.
  • Project & Commercial management: Ensure effective & efficient handover of sales opportunities to production, supporting commercial negotiations and customer expectations. Collaboration with cross department sales opportunities to maximise project sales opportunities.
  • Marketing: Support & coordinate marketing activity to increase department visibility, including customer communications, case studies, events & market development.
  • Risk & Opportunity Management: Identify & manage commercial, operational, technical and customer risks whilst proactively identifying opportunities for growth and margin improvement.
  • Reporting & strategy: Provide accurate sales forecasts, market intelligence & recommendations to support department decision making and strategy plans.
  • Continuous improvement: Review, assess and improve dales processes and customer experience focusing on customer collaboration, sales and margin growth and staying agile in the marketplace.

What do we need from you?

  • Experience in a customer-facing sales role
  • Good knowledge of building materials and the construction market
  • Willingness to work across both field-based and office-based sales
  • A full, clean driving licence
  • Awareness of Health and Safety practices
  • A strong focus on delivering a positive customer experience
  • Confidence using IT systems such as CRM platforms, Excel and Outlook
  • Good communication skills, including face-to-face, phone and written communication
