​​WHAT IS THE ROLE?

The Sales Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the efficient processing of customer orders from receipt through to delivery while coordinating supply chain, production planning, and logistics activities.

The role plays a critical part in maintaining customer satisfaction, supporting business growth, and ensuring products are delivered on time and in line with customer requirements. The Sales Coordinator will work closely with suppliers, production teams, logistics partners, and customers to optimise operational performance and improve supply chain efficiency.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

 

     Customer Service & Order Fulfilment

• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.

• Coordinate order fulfilment from order receipt through to delivery.

• Provide customers with order status and delivery updates.

• Resolve customer queries relating to product availability, lead times, and deliveries.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure a high level of service.

• Proactively address and resolve delivery delays or supply issues.
  
  Supply Chain Management

• Ensure sufficient stock is available to meet customer demand and production requirements.

• Negotiate prices and delivery terms with suppliers to achieve best value.

• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and cost effectiveness.

• Raise and administer purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.

• Maintain optimal stock levels while balancing working capital requirements.

• Prevent stock shortages and minimise excess inventory.

• Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks.

• Ensure stock received meets the required specifications and quality standards.

• Resolve supply chain issues and implement corrective actions where necessary. 
  
  Production Planning

• Schedule production runs to meet customer delivery requirements.

• Ensure materials and components are available when needed for production.

• Coordinate closely with production teams to maintain workflow continuity.

• Balance production capacity, labour availability, and customer demand.

• Monitor production schedules and adjust plans to accommodate changing priorities.
  
  Logistics & Distribution

• Arrange transport and delivery schedules for customer orders.

• Liaise with freight providers and courier services to ensure timely deliveries.

• Monitor deliveries and proactively address any delays or issues.

• Manage relationships with logistics and freight partners.

• Coordinate shipping documentation and delivery requirements where applicable.

• Control and monitor stock movements throughout the supply chain.
