JP Corry Newry Helps Bring Outdoor Learning and Creativity to Life at St Mary's Barr Primary School

JP Corry Newry is proud to have supported St Mary's Barr Primary School with the donation of building materials to help create an engaging outdoor play and learning space for pupils.
The donation included materials for decking, a bespoke mud kitchen, as well as pipes, rope, bricks and polythene that have since become key features of the school's new outdoor area. Designed to encourage imaginative play, exploration and creativity, the space has quickly become a favourite among the children.

Following the completion of the project, we visited the school to see the finished outdoor area and were delighted by what we found.
"The creativity and imagination shown by the children was truly inspiring," said Miceal Magill, Business Development Executive from JP Corry Newry. "It was fantastic to see how they had embraced the space and transformed simple materials into opportunities for learning, play and discovery. Their enthusiasm and innovative ideas were incredibly impressive."

Outdoor play is widely recognised as an important part of a child's development. It encourages creativity, problem-solving, communication and teamwork, while also supporting physical activity and wellbeing. Open-ended resources such as mud kitchens, loose parts and construction materials allow children to lead their own learning experiences, helping to build confidence and independence.
The new outdoor area at St Mary's Barr Primary School provides pupils with a stimulating environment where they can explore, create and learn through play. From imaginative role play in the mud kitchen to building and experimenting with pipes and bricks, the space offers endless opportunities for hands-on learning.

As a longstanding supplier to the local construction industry, JP Corry is committed to supporting the communities in which it operates. The company regularly works with local schools, charities and community groups to help create positive and lasting impacts.
"We believe in supporting projects that benefit local children and families," added Magill. "Seeing the joy this outdoor space has brought to the pupils at St Mary's Barr Primary School reinforces the importance of investing in our local communities. We are proud to have played a small part in bringing this fantastic project to life."

JP Corry Newry would like to congratulate the staff and pupils of St Mary's Barr Primary School on creating such an imaginative and engaging outdoor environment and looks forward to seeing it continue to inspire young minds for years to come.
