JP Corry celebrates Springfield Road Regional Award win at 2026 Octabuild Awards

07 October 2026

JP Corry is celebrating a major success at the 2026 Octabuild Awards, with its Springfield Road branch taking home the Northern Ireland Regional Award, while colleagues and the wider business were also recognised across a number of categories.
The Springfield Road team was recognised for its transformation into JP Corry’s Branch of the Future, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing investment in customer experience, innovation and its partnership with the construction trade.
The award follows a major redevelopment of the Belfast branch, which has created a modern, customer-focused environment with an expanded product range, improved facilities, dedicated trade spaces, digital enhancements and a community hub designed around the needs of local builders and tradespeople.
The transformation has been driven by extensive engagement with customers, suppliers and local tradespeople, with feedback highlighting the significant difference the redevelopment has made to the customer experience.
The Northern Ireland Regional Award provides recognition for the Springfield Road team’s work in turning JP Corry’s Branch of the Future vision into reality.
Springfield Road’s success was part of an impressive showing for JP Corry at this year’s Octabuild Awards, with the business reaching the finals in four categories.
JP Corry was also recognised with a Sustainable Excellence finalist position, reflecting the company’s continued focus on sustainability through its People, Planet and Place strategy. The company’s sustainability journey has already received wider recognition, including being named Business in the Community Northern Ireland’s Responsible Business of the Year in 2024 - the first builders’ merchant to receive the award.
The awards success also placed the spotlight firmly on JP Corry’s people.
Ballymena colleague Jason Fullerton was recognised as the Octabuild Rising Star, celebrating his commitment, enthusiasm and continued development within the business. Meanwhile, three colleagues were shortlisted for the highly competitive Unsung Hero Award - Ian Copeland from Newry, Darrell Bell from Castlereagh and David Wood from Portadown.
The category recognises individuals whose commitment, reliability and willingness to support colleagues and customers often happens behind the scenes, but makes a significant difference to their teams and the wider business. While only one individual could take home the Unsung Hero Award, we were so proud to see all three colleagues reach the final.

The recognition reflects the breadth of talent and commitment across the business, from major branch investment and sustainability initiatives to the everyday contribution of colleagues working across JP Corry’s network.
The Springfield Road Regional Award marks another important milestone in JP Corry’s wider programme of investment and transformation, with further improvements planned across its branch network. For Springfield Road, however, the award represents recognition of what can be achieved when investment, innovation and most importantly a strong team come together with a shared focus on supporting customers.
