JP Corry Celebrates Official Opening of New Castlereagh Branch
JP Corry has officially opened the doors of its new Castlereagh branch, marking a significant investment in the future of the business and its customers across Belfast and the surrounding areas.
Located on Montgomery Road, the purpose-built facility represents a major upgrade from the company's previous Castlereagh premises, which had successfully served customers for many years but could no longer accommodate growing demand and operational requirements. The new branch has been designed to enhance both customer experience and operational efficiency, while providing the capacity needed to support future growth.
The modern site features expanded warehousing, an improved trade counter, a dedicated door display area, landscape centre and a larger workwear department. Increased stockholding and improved accessibility will enable the branch team to provide customers with greater product availability, a wider choice of leading brands and enhanced service support.
To mark the official opening, JP Corry hosted two customer open days at the end of May, welcoming hundreds of visitors through the doors. The celebrations included supplier demonstrations, product showcases and exclusive giveaways, alongside a live Q Radio Roadshow broadcast from the branch. Customers were also treated to food from the popular Brown's Fish and Chip Van, helping create a lively and welcoming atmosphere throughout both days.
Adding to the excitement, "Golden Tickets" were hidden throughout the branch, giving lucky customers the opportunity to uncover a range of fantastic prizes.
The events provided an opportunity for the team to reconnect with long-standing customers while introducing the new branch to local tradespeople and businesses.
"It was fantastic to see so many familiar and new faces across the two days," said Emmet Quinn, Branch Manager at JP Corry. "In particular, it was wonderful to welcome customers who have been shopping with us for decades. We are incredibly grateful for their loyalty and support over the years, and we're delighted that their journey with JP Corry will continue in our new Castlereagh branch."
A particularly special moment during the celebrations was the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, carried out by Billy Bell, who recently retired from the Castlereagh branch after 25 years of dedicated service.
The JP Corry team was thrilled to welcome Billy back for the occasion, recognising his long-standing contribution to both the business and its customers. His involvement provided a fitting link between the branch's proud history and its exciting future.
Led by Branch Manager Emmet Quinn and supported by a team of 11 experienced colleagues, the new Castlereagh branch reflects JP Corry's continued commitment to investing in its people, facilities and customer relationships. Designed to serve independent tradespeople, builders, landscapers and commercial customers alike, the branch is well positioned to support the evolving needs of the local construction industry for years to come.
