JP CORRY RAISE THOUSANDS FOR MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS NI AND ALZHEIMER’S RESEARCH UK

Local builders merchant, JP Corry have presented a cheque for £8,970.09 to Multiple Sclerosis Northern Ireland & Alzheimer's Research UK following a fundraising drive.

 

Alzheimer's Research UK were selected as the companies chosen charity partner last year, as part of their parent company Saint-Gobain’s ‘Together’ charity programme. JP Corry also supported local charity, MS Society Northern Ireland as the charity proved popular amongst employees.

 

Over the last year, employees, suppliers and customers of JP Corry have took part in a number of fundraising activities including sponsored abseils, raffles, golf days and staff events. The funds raised from the generosity of those involved will be used to provide care and support to people living with dementia and those who are affected by MS in Northern Ireland.

 

Ciaran Mc Connell, Managing Director of JP Corry is delighted with the outcome “We’re very grateful to everyone who put such incredible effort into fundraising for both charities. It’s inspiring to see the efforts our colleagues, customers and suppliers put in each year, to ultimately aid care and research for such important causes”.

 

Patricia Gordon, Director MS Society NI said “We have been delighted to work in partnership with JP Corry and are pleased the team there have raised an impressive £4,500. It is a brilliant achievement and one which will have a positive influence for people living with MS.” 

“In Northern Ireland we have 4,500 people who are living with MS. MS is unpredictable and different for everyone, it is often painful and exhausting and can cause problems with how we walk, move, see, think and feel.  The MS Society is here for people with MS, through the highs, lows and everything in between and we’re also driving research into more and better treatments. The work, generosity and support of companies like JP Corry help us do that. Together we’re strong enough to stop MS.”
