JP Corry held its third and final trade event of 2011 at the South Eastern Regional College in Downpatrick on Thursday 15th September.
The event was well attended by industry professionals including architects, designers, developers, contractors, builders, joiners, plasterers and plumbers as well as some of the construction students from the SERC!
The two seminars that took place on the day proved to be a big hit with the visitors with some travelling from Belfast and Carrickfergus just to listen. The RIBA approved first seminar ‘The Code for Sustainable Homes and BREEAM Standards in Construction’ was led by John Ross at the SERC with the second seminar ‘How to make retrofit work – a guide to retrofit in Ireland using case studies’ being led by Fintan Smyth from Saint-Gobain Gyproc (Renovate Right).
Visitors were able to view some fantastic product displays including doors, floors, architectural ironmongery, washroom systems, timber, civils and utilities, rainwater and drainage, brick and stone and much more. They were also treated to a free lunch cooked specially by SERC students.
Twelve lucky visitors left the event with prizes, generously donated by JP Corry suppliers, including an Amazon Kindle, vouchers for popular golf and department stores, a round of golf at a Northern Irish golf course, a dinner for two and various golfing accessories, not to mention a JP Corry tape measure!
There will be similar events organised in various locations in 2012 so keep checking back to the JP Corry website for more information. Alternatively you can visit our Facebook page or follow us on Twitter.
